MESH-Technologies A/S
OfficeGRID®

Most offices are not populated outside normal working hours, 8am to 4pm on working days, this implies that the computing resources are unused about 128 out of 168 hours each week. The vision of MESH-Technologies is to allow for the constructive use of these hours of wasted time. Would you allow any other of your company's resources to be utilized less than 10%? (according to Microsoft SIGMetrics paper, 1998-2000) OfficeGRID glues this pool of unused computational power together, thus making in possible to utilize a great percentage of that otherwise unused computer time.

Downloads

We provide downloads of trial versions of OfficeGRID in order to allow potential users of OfficeGRID to try it out free of charge before deciding on a purchase. Each download includes a fully featured version of the software but with a trial license limited to three concurrent job Executing units. The trial license period is additionally time limited to 90 days, after which the installation will automatically stop executing jobs.

Owners of a proper OfficeGRID license can also use the downloads mentioned here, but should select either the officegrid-full packages with their own license or manually replace the trial license on platforms where we don't provide separate packages/installers.

Windows

Ordinary install wizards are available for the latest versions of Windows. Each installer is known to work for that particular version of Windows, but they may work under other versions of Windows as well.

Vista

Windows Vista users can download and run the Windows Vista OfficeGRID Installer to install the trial version of OfficeGRID.

XP

Windows XP users can download and run the Windows XP OfficeGRID Installer to install the trial version of OfficeGRID.

Linux/UNIX

Preconfigured packages are available for a subset of the most common Linux distributions, and a generic installer is available for other flavors of Linux and UNIX.

Ubuntu

For easy package management just add the line

deb http://meshtechnologies.com/pub/linux/ubuntu hardy main non-free

to your package repositories.

After adding the OfficeGRID repository, use your favourite package manager (apt-get, aptitude, synaptic, ..) to install the officegrid packages.
Please refer to the OfficeGRID Administrator's Manual for further details.

Alternatively the packages may be manually downloaded and installed from our Ubuntu repository, but this more cumbersome method is not recommended.

Debian

For easy package management just add the line

deb http://meshtechnologies.com/pub/linux/debian etch main non-free

to your package repositories.

After adding the OfficeGRID repository, use your favourite package manager (apt-get, aptitude, synaptic, ..) to install the officegrid packages.
Please refer to the OfficeGRID Administrator's Manual for further details.

Alternatively the packages may be manually downloaded and installed from our Debian repository, but this more cumbersome method is not recommended.

Red Hat, Fedora, Suse, Mandriva

Users of RPM-based distributions can use the yum package manager for installing the OfficeGRID packages.
For easy package management with yum, just make sure that yum is installed and then create a yum repository configuration file (e.g. /etc/yum.repos.d/mesh.repo).

Now you can use yum to install the officegrid-X packages:

yum install officegrid-trial

The first time you install a package from the MESH repository you will be asked if it is ok to install and use the MESH GPG key for package verification. Please answer yes for the highest level of security.

Alternatively to using yum, the packages may be manually downloaded and installed from our RPM repository, but this more cumbersome method is not recommended.

Other Linux/UNIX Flavours

Other Linux/UNIX distributions may already be either supported by the generic installer or possible to support on request.
Please feel free to download and run the OfficeGRID Installer for generic Linux (32-bit) or OfficeGRID Installer for generic Linux (64-bit) to try out the trial version.
The installer is known to work for some Debian, Gentoo and Red Hat based distributions, but it should work under other distributions as well.
Please note the external software dependencies mentioned during the install process.

Mac OS X

An installer for Mac OS X should be possible and it is under consideration. We don't know how big the demand is on this particular platform, so please feel free to contact us if this would be of interest to you.
